Hello, I'm Jimbo Partin, and I proudly identify as a person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder. Fish tremble at the sound of my voice, and above all I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My Story
My journey to sobriety has been challenging, marked by several stints in state prisons and four incarcerations, which collectively took away over a decade of my life. It wasn't until I found solace in my relationship with Jesus Christ that I discovered the strength to overcome my struggles. Now, I've come full circle, working with individuals at the very jail where I once served time, providing crucial peer support to those still on their path to recovery. Additionally, I hold the title of a certified peer specialist in addictive disease at Gardens of Hope RCO in Toombs County, GA, where I passionately serve my peers. Today, I revel in the joy of being a present and loving father, indulging in my hobbies like fishing, and cherishing every moment spent with my children. My recovery has not only transformed my life but has allowed me to be a positive force for others in their journey towards healing.
